We are now in the year 2011 and still Jesus’ words ring out: “Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I
gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time” (Mt 28:19-20).
We cannot turn a deaf ear to the cry of those who live in emptiness and who are continually searching for true joy.
Today there is an urgent need for an experience of Jesus, man-God, who changed the course of history and who is still
able to transform our boring lives into ones that are interesting and permeated with joy and hope.
So once again, this year at Muzzano (Biella), we ran the Paul Course at our 19th International Summer School of Kerygmatic Evangelisation.
The participants, who came from Australia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, England and Italy, invested their holidaytime in being
trained as evangelisers so as to bring the Good News of Jesus, dead, risen and glorified, not just to the locals of Biella but also
back to their own nations. It was a truly international experience, enriching and touching. To feel the burden, but also the dignity
of having been chosen by God as his instruments for carrying out his plan of salvation is not something which happens everyday.
To announce a personal experience of Jesus to people who surprisingly open up their hearts and share their problems and disillusionment,
and in whom, when they accept Jesus as their Saviour and Lord, you can see the light in their eyes change, their faces change, is to
have an experience of eternity. A special thank-you goes to the Lord for having entrusted us with his mission and a thank-you
to the heroic evangelisers who sacrificed their holidays in the world to evangelise the world!
"The word of God continued to increase and spread (Ac 12:24) In summer school 3-20 th of August, we proposed two courses: Paul and John for the formation of evangelizers and disciples that are able to witness about Jesus Alive!
My name is Antonietta, I’m sixty-five years old and I took part to the Paul Course in Muzzano from the 3rd until the 13th of August during the summer stage of the international kerygmatic School of evangelization of the Koinonia John the Baptist. There were about fifty participants altogether, coming from different countries such as Ireland, Germany, India, Poland and Italy.
It was an experience rich in evangelical spirituality, a living experience of the Risen Jesus.
I’ve always been convinced that a person needs to experience God’s love and the salvation in Jesus, but day after day, an awareness that this is not sufficient grew inside of me. It is fundamental as well as urgent that each “witness” responds to the great commission of Jesus: go and evangelize!
To learn how to transmit the Kerygma in a modern, simple, clear, creative way using various forms (posters, theatre, music…), was our daily challenge.
We spent ten intense days with times of study, practical and community activities, which cumulated in the litmus test of going out to evangelize door to door to have a “hands on” experience of the method, its effectiveness and the real need of the church for it.
After the mandate of Monsignor Gabriele Mana, Bishop of Biella, we were received by the parishes of Strona and “Jesus our Hope” in Cossato, where we put into practice everything we had been taught beforehand.
We evangelized with the very same method used by the apostles of the early church: we went out to announce the Good News carrying only our Bible, trusting that in case of need we would have been helped. The experience was difficult but amazing at the same time. There were seven young people with me and I thought that I could have taught them something as I was the eldest, but on the contrary I have been the one who have learned from each one of them. For the first time I have enjoyed and lived the power of the Gospel announced along the streets, knocking at the doors of unknown people who eventually received the Kerygma. The richness of the salvation in Jesus had been entrusted to weak people, apparently inadequate for such a great message. I’ve seen God’s love revealed powerfully by means of fragile vessels, I mean sixteen, fifteen, eighteen, thirty years old young people. I could never have expected such an ardour and passion for Jesus. I could feel and see with how much joy and convintion they proposed the Good News of the salvation in Jesus to each person they met, included the old people.
We also shared the tiredness and hunger, the rain and the sun, we prayed to have some food to quell the pangs of hunger. Nobody among us had ever asked for a piece of bread, even a crust, in the name of Jesus. At the beginning we didn’t dare, but after a while we found the courage, when the hunger prevailed. We always received something, even on the part of some people that have not received the invitation to proclaim the lordship of Jesus. Before eating we always made sure that each one of us received a piece of the bread given to us.
I’m so grateful for all those who committed themselves during these days by sharing their experience, by giving us all such a precious help to evangelize all those people that the Lord is going to put on our way.
I don’t want this experience to end here. May it continue with my concrete commitment so that other evangelizers can be formed and become in their turn formers of evangelizers.
I accompany with my prayer all of you brothers and sisters, who have been instruments of blessing for us all, may Jesus reward you for how you have worked humbly in his vineyard. I also pray for you who are reading my testimony, that you may have the opportunity to make the wonderful experience to attend the Paul course.
The Kerygma works!
Thanks.

It was dedicated to San Paul: "in the footsteps of Paul". There were courses:
Paul
To evangelize means to announce the Kingdom of God: this was the mission of Jesus and of his Apostles. This is also our mission. Today, what does it mean to evangelize? How can we transmit the Gospel to the man of today?
Through periods of study, of prayer and practical work, we offered simple, clear and concrete answers so that every evangelized person will become an evangelizer.
Secret of Paul
What was the secret of Paul's success? A course which has a precise starting point, a clear goal, an
effective and detailed strategy and skilled trainers able to change Saul of Tarsus into the Apostle
to the Nations, an athlete of Christ. This course will also change us into athletes, able to harmonise
our own lives with the proclaimed message; leaders of vision who know how to attain the final victory;
men of faith whose greatest joy is to announce the Gospel.
There were the participants from different nations: Italy, Poland, Germany,France, USA, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, India.
Rome, 11th July - 17th August
The summer stage was dedicated to the formation of evangelizers for a new evangellization,
new ardor, new method and new expressions.
We have proposed three Paul Courses that respond
to the need to know and use techniques that announce the kerygma in a creative contest,
in order to reach today's generation.
My name is Letizia, I attended the Paul Course which took place in Rome last summer 2008, it was a great experience that I wish to share with you.
I was able to put Jesus at the center of my life as my Savior, Lord and Messiah, and experience an overflowing of joy in my heart because of the fullness that He gave me. All of this as a consequence of the Paul’s Course.
During the course I was able to tie knots of friendship with the brothers and sisters.
Most of all, the course thought me to give witness in an efficacious way of my meeting with the living Jesus, so that others may also believe and be able to experience a new life full of joy.
For the first time I was able to put into practice the word that says: “ I do everything for the Gospel” (1 Cor. 9-23) giving witness to Jesus who died and rose, with a determination that I never had before, and to various kind of people, following St. Paul’s example.
I also experienced a renewed ardor, a courage for the Lord Jesus and I learned to evangelize and to transmit in an efficacious manner this magnificent experience of God’s love that manifests itself in Jesus, our Savior who has given His life in order to free us from what was oppressing us and to give us a new opportunity to life in love, joy, peace, and prosperity.
What else can I say? I invite you to also take the Paul Course!
