’’Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people.’’ (Mk. 16, 15)

KERYGMATIC EVANGELIZATION

At the beginning of being a Christian there is no theory to learn, but rather there is an encounter with an event, or a Person, which gives our life a new horizon and a decisive direction. For this reason, the proclamation of the Word of God (kerygma-martyria) is one of the main duties of the Church (cf. Deus Caritas Est 1 and 25). Evangelization is the fundamental duty of the whole people of God (cf. Ad Gentes 35). It is time for a New Evangelization! (cf. Christifidelis Laici 63). The Church exists to evangelize (cf. Evangeli Nuntiandi 14), but we need schools to train the trainers (cf. Christifidelis Laici 63).

NEW EVANGELIZATION

New in its ardor, in its methods, and in its expression (John Paul II, March 9, 1983, Haiti). There is no Kerygma without evangelization! The School of Evangelization of the Koinonia John the Baptist has made of the New Evangelization its primary objective, by trying to renew the ardor for the Gospel, and by discovering new methods and expressions so that the Person and the Message of Jesus may be accepted and lived by today’s man.
The New Evangelization is a proposal of faith that becomes concrete in an experience that involves:
-the continuous experience of Jesus alive and of the Holy Spirit as a source of a new ardor;
-the testimony as a method of transmission of faith because we proclaim ’’Jesus alive who I met’’;
-the openness to the creativity of the Holy Spirit seeking new expressions.
